DEFINE THE GOALS TO ANCHOR THE STUDY

Knowing the questions you're looking to answer is the foundation for any good research study. Understanding the goals of the team and research at large ensures that my process directly aligns with the problems that need to be solved. Through constant communication and alignment, I work closely with the stakeholders of the study to solidify these key success items, and craft curated documents such as test plans and protocols to maintain consistency throughout the project.

OUTLINE A STRATEGY TO GUIDE RESEARCH

If solidifying study goals is like creating a blueprint, then identifying the appropriate research methodology to implement is like choosing the tools to build with. No two studies are going to be exactly alike, so choosing one of the many methodologies can make or break your study. This step in my process includes creation of key research documents, aligning on budget and resource needs, recruitment strategies, and contingency plans to mitigate any risk that may arise.

EXECUTE THE STUDY TO GATHER RELEVANT DATA

After identifying your success criteria, and choosing your tools, it's time to run the study. Simple enough, right? It can be, but planning this execution process is crucial. Participant recruits, interview scheduling, local and international vendor management, comprehensive and detailed study documentation, moderation, and thorough data collection - these and more are all the little building blocks that need to be properly set in place that help set the stage for a successful research study.

ANALYZE FINDINGS TO DELIVER ACTIONABLE INSIGHTS

Research is meant to not only inform, but to drive change. Sharing valuable study insights with stakeholders helps to be that catalyst, and how those insights are shared will vary depending on the needs of the stakeholders. Taking those needs into account, I curate thoughtful, well-crafted deliverables. These can come in the form of daily debrief emails to share trends early and often, executive top-line documents with high-level findings and recommendations, or full readout decks that dive deep into each of the study findings.
